PCs, video terminals, serial printers, modems, and data switches
The DECserver 700-08 is a high performance asynchronous device
and remote access server that provides 8, 25-pin D-sub (DB25) serial
ports supporting full RS232 8-signal modem control. The
DECserver 700-08 has AUI and 10BaseT Ethernet connectors. The
DECserver 700-08 supports up to eight sessions per port and speeds
up to 115.2 Kb/s per port. The DECserver 700-08 has an internal
FLASH socket for the customer installable Flash card. When
installed the Flash card allows self-booting operation. The
DECserver 700-08 runs DECserver Network Access Software (DNAS) which
delivers multi-protocol support for TCP/IP, IPX, and AppleTalk
networks. DECserver 700 units designed for tabletop or rack-mount
configuration

user name/password, RADIUS Proxy for OTP, Host-based
authentication, and more – for secure network access
